From unpublished essay by Javier Martínez (accessed 25/12/2015): ”In my particular search for information on Spanish violeros as part of the research for my thesis, I located a violero named Alonso with the eponymous surname of Guadalupe. He participated in the social revolt of the Germanies and in retaliation, on the March 15, 1522, all his property and that of his wife was confiscated. To make an inventory of their belongings, a document was drawn up which is preserved in the General Archive of Valencia, Real Chancellery. It is an is inventory in which no tools appear, perhaps because the shop was in a different address. Unfortunately there are no valuations, but it includes a harp, nine vihuelas and a lute.”
