An arrangement of Vásquez’s song Quien me otorgase señora (+2ª pars Aunque mill años turases), a poem attributed to Garci Sánchez de Badajoz. In the index to Silva de sirenas, Valderrábano is indicated as the composer of the segunda pars.

Vásquez song was not published until much later (1560), so Valderrábano obviously had access through some other means. [the same as in the case of his version of Los brazos traigo]. The earliest version of the text is in the Cancionero General (1511), attributed to Garci Sánchez de Badajoz, poet and vihuelist. Valderrábano’s version corresponds to some extent with the 1560 setting, but suggests that it was based on a version with substantial differences. They are both five-voice settings, but the sung melody in the Valderrábano setting corresponds to the Quinta parte [Tiple 2] in the prima pars of the song, and the Tiple of the segunda pars. Valderrábano appears to have added a few bars of introduction prior to the entry of the sung melody, and there are numerous other differences in the settings. Valderrábano’s text (verses 2,3, 4) are different to those in the 1560 Recopilación.
