Monothematic fantasia. Reasonably attractive and competent. Theme used throughout, although at first with an added beginning note giving re la fa sol la re (given as 1b). Tuning is in G and not A as rubric suggests. Beginning of work is quite interesting but then it becomes somewhat tedious and fruitless, and the awkward fingerings found between compases 70 & 90 make the effort surpass the dividend. Theme 2, a subtheme briefly appears in T/B imitation as preparation for the bar 15 cadence. Interesting is the use of successive statements of theme in one voice as previous work Pi44, esp. bars 28-35. Also use of repetition phrase of bar 16 repeated immediately; then a sectional repetition near end of piece.
